Dual pulse with reduced skin damage (PTP)
Using PTP mode, both Q-Max and Q-Max PREMIUM can emit consecutive dual pulses at a maximum energy of 1.8 J. In contrast to single-pulse mode, this setup delivers twice the number of pulses, each with nearly half the energy of a single pulse. The advantage lies in minimizing treatment discomfort by avoiding damage to the surrounding normal skin tissue, a drawback associated with single-pulse mode. As a result, the likelihood of side effects is reduced without compromising clinical outcomes, and in most cases, it may even provide better clinical results.
Delivering a high energy level (e.g., 1.8 J) in a single instance can harm the skin. Since doctors tend to administer less energy to the skin compared to PTP, the photothermal effect necessary for collagen regeneration might not reach a sufficient level.
In PTP mode, a double number of laser beams is administered, providing increased energy and vibrations to effectively target and destroy melanin pigment. Additionally, this mode ensures that the photothermal effect required for collagen regeneration reaches a sufficient level.
